Any directives from public health agencies should be followed.

Lincoln Performance Hall

LINCOLN PERFORMANCE HALL is one of the best music venues in the region.  With excellent acoustics and superb sight lines, the hall seats 465, a perfect size for chamber music. Lincoln Performance Hall is located at 1620 SW Park Ave on the Portland State University campus, 503-725-3222. All Classic Series concerts are held in Lincoln Performance Hall.

Accessibility: Lincoln Performance Hall is fully accessible.  Please call the Friends of Chamber Music office for drop off and parking information.

Directions & Parking

Allow at least 30 minutes to find and pay for parking. Please note that all of the Portland State University’s parking structures and lots are now metered 24 hours, 7 days a week. There are also other metered lots in the area and free street parking after 7 pm. Below are a few parking options for you to choose from.

Self-Service Station:

The self-service pay station requires you to input your car’s license plate number. Make sure you know what your license plate number is before walking away from your car to the pay station. It takes a long time for these machines to process credit cards and only one person at a time can pay. The wait time to use the pay station could be long depending on how many people are using it.

Parking Option #1: PSU Parking Structures

To view all of PSU’s parking structures and rates, visit the PSU Parking & Transportation website. For all of the PSU Parking Structures, you must pay after parking your car and before walking into Lincoln Hall. There are two ways to pay for parking: the Parking Kitty app (highly recommended) and the self-service pay station.

Parking Structure 2: 1724 SW Broadway (the only PSU Structure that costs $5 after 5:00 pm), which is just east of Lincoln Hall on Broadway, is the smallest parking structure and often fills up.

Parking Structure 1: 1872 SW 6th Ave This is the second closest PSU parking structure to Lincoln Hall. The entrance to PS1 is on SW 6th Ave between Hall and Harrison Streets.

Parking Structure 3: 1631 SW 12th Ave This is the furthest parking structure from Lincoln Hall. The entrance to PS3 is on SW 12th, just south of Market St.

Parking Option #2: Street Parking

Street parking downtown costs $2/hour, but after 7:00 pm it’s free. Spaces are limited.

Parking Option #3: City Center Parking Lots

There are a few City Center Parking lots in the area. The closest CCP lot to Lincoln Hall is 1645 SW 5th Ave. More details on Lot #115.

Kaul Auditorium

KAUL AUDITORIUM is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose auditorium with first-class acoustics, that can accommodate up to 750 people. Kaul Auditorium is located on the Reed College campus. Kaul Auditorium is fully accessible. Please call 503.224.9842 for drop off and parking information.

Kaul Auditorium

Directions & Parking

The main entrance of Reed College is located at 3203 SE Woodstock Blvd; Kaul Auditorium is several blocks west of the main entrance.

Before coming to Kaul Auditorium, we highly recommend you take a look at the Reed College Campus Map. That way you can navigate to Kaul successfully. Make sure you allow yourself at least 30 minutes to find parking and walk to Kaul.

Parking Option 1: The closest parking to Kaul Auditorium is in the West Parking Lot (entrance off of SE 28th Ave). Please note that a section in the West lot is partitioned off due to construction, so there aren’t as many spots available in the past years. To get to Kaul from the West lot, you can either walk uphill around the Performing Arts building, or enter through the Performing Arts building and take the elevator up. There should be a sign near the elevator indicating which floor to select to get to Kaul.

Parking Option 2: Another parking option is the North Parking Lot (entrance off of SE Steele St). New this year are gates to the North lot. They should be open for the duration of the concert, but if not, you just have to press the button on the intercom and Community Safety will open it (and then probably keep it open at that point). To get to Kaul from the North lot, you need to head over the Canyon Bridge.

Parking Option 3: There’s also the East Parking Lot (entrance off of SE Woodstock Blvd). Be aware this parking lot is furthest from Kaul.

ADA Drop off/pick up & parking: A drop-off/pick-up zone is available in front of the Kaul Auditorium entrance. You are not allowed to park there, so you will have to return to the parking lot. The area in front of Kaul is a fire zone, and so any cars left in that area unattended will be towed. There will be a very few ADA parking spaces by the Physical Plant (about 1,000 ft. from Kaul).

A few more things to keep in mind while parking your car: Any cars that are not parked in a physical parking space will also be towed. Do not park against curbs around campus. All vehicles must be parked in a designated parking spot, no exceptions. Also, please note that street parking is not allowed on most streets surrounding the campus, and you will be ticketed!

Public Transportation: Bus lines #19 and #10 stop in the area. Use the Tri-Met Trip Planner to find the best route for you.
