Registration is closed for the 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition trip.

The due date for registrants to pay their balance due is June 1, 2025. The balance due may be paid online through this link.  Full refunds of the balance due amount is possible through June 30, 2025.

The Banff International String Quartet Competition (BISQC) is one of the most important events of its kind in the world. And the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity, situated in the spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountains, is the perfect setting to enjoy the music and magic of this sensational triennial affair.

The audience is an essential part of the exciting, supportive environment that is at the heart of the Banff experience. Join us for a fun and inspiring trip to the Competition where we will help discover the next generation of musicians.

The Banff Competition brings together 10 of the world’s best young string quartets under the age of 35 to perform for a distinguished jury and enthusiastic audiences. Previous winners include the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Isidore Quartet, Miró Quartet, Isidore Quartet, Ensō Quartet, Dover Quartet, Jupiter Quartet, Ying Quartet, and Hagen Quartet.

We are offering two different packages: the FINALS WEEKEND PACKAGE or the FULL WEEK PACKAGE, with prices starting as low as $2,900.

FINALS WEEKEND PACKAGE (Thursday, Aug 28 – Monday, Sept 1)
Your tour price of $3,000 (per person) double occupancy, or $3,400 single occupancy
includes a $300 contribution to Friends of Chamber Music, and the following:

• Round trip coach airfare from Portland to Calgary, Canada

• Shuttle service to and from the Calgary airport to the Banff Centre

• Deluxe accommodations for 4 nights in the Banff Centre

• Reserved seating to all concerts in the final round of the competition August 29-31

• Admission to the Alumni Gala Concert on Thursday, August 28

• Admission to all lectures and discussions on August 28-31

• All meals in Vistas Dining Room from Thursday dinner through Monday breakfast
