The Marsh-Titterington 4-hand piano duo will tickle the ivories with masterpieces by Samuel Barber, William Bolcom, George Gershwin, and Portland’s own Lisa Marsh. All-American nibbles and wines add to the celebration of all things American in this lovely West Linn home.

Lisa Ann Marsh is a member of Cascadia Composers and a founding member of Burn After Listening. Her music is inspired by the natural and supernatural worlds, the complexity of human emotions, and the artists she collaborates with. Chamber and choral works have been performed by the Northwest Piano Trio, The Ensemble, The Mousai, Choral Arts Ensemble, Portland Sate University Chamber Choir, and The Resonance Ensemble.Current projects include an opera in collaboration with Matt Zrebski, a song cycle lamenting the vanishing glaciers, and a string quartet.
Ms. Marsh is pianist with the Marsh-Titterington Piano Duo and former Principal Keyboard with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra. She is a member of the piano faculty at Portland State University where she also directs the wellness program for musicians.
This year she was awarded the Composer of the Year commission by the Oregon Music Teacher’s Association. The piece she is writing for their concert in June 2018 is titled “Triptych.” It is scored for flute/piccolo, cello, piano and percussion. The music evokes the spirit of three remote places and will feature photographs by her husband, Brian Marsh.

Connie Titterington is a member of the adjunct piano faculty at Portland State University. She is an active chamber musician and accompanist. Connie teaches conceptually, with a mind for body awareness and sensitivity to learning temperament. Her strength is in the fundamentals that lead to good sight-reading, effective practice skills, and confident performance.
