Empire Wild is a genre-bending ensemble founded by two Juilliard-trained cellists (Mitchell Lyon and Ken Kubota) who are dedicated to exploring musical frontiers, incorporating contemporary techniques into existing repertoire, and pushing their instruments to the limit. Joined by pianist Addison Frei, the trio’s innovative programs captivate audiences with their distinctive sound and instrumentation.
