Education Partnership

Friends of Chamber Music is committed to furthering chamber music in our community through education and outreach, as well as by presenting concerts. Each season we partner with a local school to offer several of our visiting ensembles in workshops at no charge to the schools. Activities range from lecture/demonstrations, informal coaching to formal master classes.

Our education partner for the 2011-12 season is the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy (ACMA) in Beaverton. The following ensembles will offer workshops at the school during the year:

Ebène Quartet, October 4
Trio con Brio Copenhagen, January 17
Parker Quartet, March 15
Pacifica Quartet, April 10

Previous education partners have included West Linn-Wilsonville School District, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and David Douglas School District.
