One of the most sought-after performing pianists today, Jon Kimura Parker takes center stage for a solo recital in addition to his performances with the Tokyo String Quartet. A versatile performer, Parker has jammed with Doc Severinsen and Bobby McFerrin, and has collaborated with Audra McDonald and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He performed the world premieres of Peter Schickele’s Music for Orcas Island, and (with Cho-Liang Lin) the violin sonata by Paul Schoenfield. Mr. Parker was awarded his country’s highest honor, the Order of Canada, in 1999.

“Parker’s physical powers of lending each finger’s touch a different sound are breathtaking.” Toronto Star
