At CAN, they believe that the arts are not a luxury, but a necessity to life in Portland. Their mission is to establish a dedicated public fund for the arts by 2012 to restore arts and music education in our K-5 classrooms, make free arts and music experiences available to every school-age child in their classrooms and communities and improve the quality, accessibility, diversity and stability of arts and culture in Portland.
